I'm right there at the center, between Ms. Chit Juan (ECHOStore Founder) and Ms. Vanessa Ledesma Suatengco (General Manager, Diamond Hotel).
Finally, it's out and I can share it with you my dears. Pardon my gushing, but I felt so privileged to be part of BusinessWorld's Ladies Who Lunch and on my birthday at that (October 3, 2014). LOL.
Here's what I learned during that lunch:
- Ms Chit Juan talked about mindful eating. It's not so much as watching what you eat. But more of "can you trace what you eat to a source, being that of a farm or farmer?" It's more of supporting the food suppliers of the country.
- Tea Master, Diana Pua - tea has only one tea plant - Camelia sinesis. They vary only according to the place where they grow. Thus, we have different kinds of tea: oolong, green tea, rooibos. There were four I think and I forget the other one. I should have taken notes! And to my surprise, I found that chamomile tea is just an infusion tea.
