I never thought I could whip up delicious dishes. 

I never learned how to cook because I had my mom do it for us even if we had helpers at home. Knowing that I didn't know how to cook when I got married, my husband saw to it that we would have someone cook for us, except for noche buena and media noche. I would attempt to cook during these special occasions. 

But when my angel went home to retire three years ago, I had no choice but to learn to cook, and surprisingly, I now enjoy cooking. Blending, mixing ingredients, and churning out a delicious meal is a joy.
