I changed my blog title / header today.
Why the new name?
#ChangeIsHere is the buzzword of the new administration, so I thought of jumping into the bandwagon. Ha ha!
Well, that's half true.
I've always wanted to move into the lifestyle blogosphere for quite sometime now. I just couldn't decide on the blog title... til this morning.
My kids have grown and they don't want me to talk about them or even photograph them and feature them on this blog anymore. Every time they celebrate a milestone or have those achievement-unlocked moments, they would always warn me, "Oops, mom, don't share it on Facebook, or blog about it ok?" "Ok. Ok!"
So, I thought, well, I guess it's a good time to talk more about my journey--being a mom is still a big part of that journey, of course--as my life has made a very unexpected turn. I felt like I have been thrown back to the far away past when I was just starting to build a career.
I find myself back at the shop floor... like a mad scientistwanting so hard to crack the code scrambling for the right mixture to be able to shout Eureka!
We'll see how this change goes.

Change is always good! I like blogging and posting about my kids and I dread the day that they will tell me not to post things about them anymore. If that happens I will hardly be able to post anything. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I have 2 teenage boys, that's why. They don't want to be teased by their friends perhaps. Enjoy it while you can. :)
DeleteBeen seing a lot of changes lately. Mr. President is such an influencer. Lol! Just kidding. For us Moms, we like to write about our kids but since they are growing and becoming more private. It will really come a time that they will no longer allow you to write about their lives. Lol! So, I'm gonna write about my kids while I still can. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteYes, when our kids get older, we need to find other stories to share. He he
DeleteOh teenagers! My son who's 5 is now very conscious when I take his pictures--he'd always ask whether or not I'd post it on Facebook. I guess when he turns 7, I have to stop my chasms about him na rin. My, they grow up so fast!
ReplyDeleteHa ha I know!
DeleteExcited for you! Your reasons echo my own reasons why I left my old blog, Davao Mommy, and started a more personal, general lifestyle one. My son is still too young to complain but I don't think he would like his life to be an open book!
ReplyDeleteHa ha.. yeah. And I understand them perfectly!
DeleteOh, I dread the day when my kids will warn me not to talk about them on the blog! hahaha! Oh well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteI agree, change is good! I guess we'll all reach this point sometime (when kids are grown and there aren't too much mommy stuff to blog about). :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, somehow we also need to evolve. He he
DeleteWhat an interesting post! I wonder how my kids will react as well when they grow up? I wonder if they'll also ask me to stop writing about them. Oh well, til then I guess! Thank you for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jackie! :) Yeah, for now, enjoy every moment with your kiddos.
DeleteBeen seeing a lot of changes lately. I think I am due for some changes myself. :)
ReplyDeleteChange is good! Go ahead! :)
DeleteI fear my little Aya will do the same thing when she grows up. Excited to read more about your future blog posts! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you! :) Same here with you...
DeleteI am having the same problem as you because my husband, though supportive, is not that keen on sharing via the internet EVERYTHING that is happening on our family life. He even told me not to post all the photos of our baby in my facebook account because what he wants is for us to buy a baby photo album and have the phots printed instead. Medyo old school sya. Haha!
ReplyDeleteI think many husbands are, mine included! :) Some are just more tolerant of our foibles. hehehe
DeleteI like the color you've chosen and I think that the new "logo" is calling out for a new theme. It's okay to jump onto the bandwagon. The smart ones do. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! New theme, you think so? :D OmG, that means I'll be staying til morning to do that. We'll see...
DeleteI also love change as it shows i am accepting -- change. Im about to make some changes as well on my blog and hopefully its for the better. Love the new look.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Berlin! Yeah, I love changes! he he
Delete#Changeishere is a pretty popular hashtag nowadays and I applaud you for deciding to do the same. It's not wrong to indulge yourself once in awhile especially after spending some selfless time with your kids. Good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteAw. They're growing up. Well sometimes change is for the best. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Nini, thanks! :)
DeleteNaku, I'm sure one day, my son will also tell me not to talk about him on my blog when he grows up. haha. Sabi nga, the only thing that can't be changed is change. #changeishere!
ReplyDeleteHa ha right! For now, enjoy it Ni! :)
DeleteMy blog is focused about beauty and a bit of parenting kaya di siguro nila mapapansin kung mabawasan ang parenting entry ko in the future hehehe. Goodluck sis! :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, sis! :) Thanks!
DeleteOhh Ohh now I need to think on what other thing to post if my son will say that to me in the future.
ReplyDeleteHa ha... I'm sure you'll think of something, Levy. :)
DeleteI used to be scared of change, but now, I learned to embrace it. After all, change can be good :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that's the spirit, Ayi! :)
Deletenice i like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! :)
