Taking a break these days is close to impossible!
Project after project leaves us no time to even hear our thoughts. That's the thing about being preoccupied, you tend to just go through the motion, saddling yourself with the administration part of the work. You get by all right, but the feeling of accomplishment is not complete.
I find it very challenging, because when I start work, I want to be alone with my thoughts; to have time to think of a strategy on how to tackle the work at hand. If I do that, I assure myself of a productive result.
I also know that there are times that I need to hit the ground running. This is often the case, actually. I can do that, too. I just wish there were more of the former than the latter.
So, when someone asked me, "what skill would you want to be unlocked after taking a KIT KAT® Break?"
My answer was "I want to unlock my people skills so I can have more understanding of myself and moderate my responses on situations that surround me -- to learn to talk effectively and empathize accurately."
Sounds like a beauty pageant answer? LOL

I always believe that anything that is thrown at you at any point in your life is a challenge to be conquered and a lesson to be learned.
Always accentuate the positive.
Thus, when faced with stress, I turn my face to it with the right attitude.
- Meditate. Do any repetitive activity, which may take the form of walking, swimming, knitting, painting, or any activity that makes you focus calmly.
- Breathe deeply. Better to only concentrate on breathing, and relaxation follows.
- Decompress. Cover your neck and shoulder with a warm wrap, leave it for 10 minutes, and close your eyes.
- Get active.
- Communicate. Go out of your way to talk to your family, friends, neighbors, or any form of social interaction.

Where did the weekend go? :-D
Today is the start of a new week. It's going to be another long week but I'm offering all my activities to the Lord.
On Thursday, we will be staging the 4th Tinta Awards. We are preparing for it, but at the same time also preparing for our next events such as the Advergaming and Gamification Conference 2014 on July 23rd and the 5th Six Sigma and Process Improvement Conference 2014 on August 6-8.
Just by thinking about them, I get all hyped up! So that letter for Monday above is a good way of looking at Mondays, don't you think?
Have a good start of the week, everyone! ;)
