Yesterday, amidst 2 LPA warnings and heavy rain, I left Manila and flew to Dumaguete City en route to Siquijor.
Since I had to fly on that date, I already psyched myself up; it will be a bumpy airplane ride and a rough boat ride. I whispered a prayer to God that he be with me all throughout this trip.
The plane took off through dark clouds and rain.
It took an hour to Dumaguete, and it turned out to be one of the smoothest plane rides I had. We had the slightest air pockets.
As we were descending, I had to peer through the window and check if the ocean had whitecaps, which would mean big waves. I saw a few.
When I landed Dumaguete, I saw curls on the sea and it was windy. But a few hours later, the sea calmed and the wind became a breeze.
By 2 pm, the time our ferry boat left Dumaguete for Siquijor, the weather greatly improved!
I reached Siquijor safely and the sea was kinder than I expected. Like the plane ride, it was a smooth one!
You are amazing, Lord!
Many times, we doubt his capacity to protect us. I whispered to Him to be with me, but I failed to hear his reply because I was anxious about what could happen during this trip.
We want to control things ourselves. So, if we are faced with instances that are beyond our control, we worry. Yes, of course, we want to control so everything happens in just the way we want it. But at the end of the day, we control nothing. It's all in God's hands--has always been, and will always be. So, we should do what we can, and then let go, and let God handle the rest.
This applies to every aspect of our lives, really.
There's a difference between wishing and praying. There's a difference between crossing your fingers, hoping everything turns out, and turning to God of the Universe, praying that He will move.

that's a good reflection. We really do need to trust in Him completely. He knows what's good for us.
