Trying to Get Pregnant Tips

I am what they call in local lingo a "catcher" - that is someone who easily catches the sperm, thus easily gets pregnant, lol. It's true, my menstrual period is very regular, too, that a delay in my monthly period could mean I'm pregnant. It happened twice, with my two boys.

Trying to get pregnant may seem like the most natural thing in the world, but believe it or not, up to ten percent of couples will have trouble conceiving at some point in their lives. That is a huge number. There are many different things that can cause fertility problems. Some fertility problems have a male contributing factor, like low sperm count or poor sperm motility. Some fertility problems have a female contributing factor, like ovulation issues, poor egg quality, or low ovarian reserve. Other fertility problems have a combination of male and female contributing factors, and even other fertility issues have no known cause.

There are many things that couples can do to increase their chances of being able to conceive. Taking care of your body is the number one priority. This includes losing weight if you are overweight, eating a healthy diet, getting enough exercise, making sleep a priority, and cutting out stress in your life. Other things you can do include quitting negative habits like alcohol use, drug use or smoking, and making sure you limit your exposure to any harmful toxins or chemicals. This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things that you can do to boost your fertility, and you can read much more about boosting your fertility at Pregnancy Tips

  3. I don't know if it's lifestyle or just genes or timing, but yes, a lot of women have difficulty getting pregnant these days. That's why I really think it is important to take care of ourselves as soon as we decide we want to get pregnant.
