Holy Week of Old

The Holy Week of old was quiet.

In our home, no TV, no radio, no music. Just quiet time by ourselves. We would spend it searching in and reading the Bible or other Bible stories and books on faith, and Christ.

We do the whole exercise for a full week or when I was already working from Holy Wednesday to Resurrection Sunday.

So different from Holy Week of today.

It is full of noise. I was only able to silent my phone and turn off my social media accounts on a Friday and half of Saturday.

It felt like, we observe the Holy Week, out of tradition or custom, and not out of what it should be.

No wonder a lot of people are distracted, anxious, and disturbed these days.
