I Forget They Are Grown Ups

This is one of our most recent family photos. Looking at it, I ask myself, how did they grow up like that!

I now have young adults for children - an 18-year old and a 21-year-old.

I still catch myself scolding them for coming home late, for being not careful, for not doing this and that. Then they would say, "Ma, take it easy. We are old now, tho you are older, of course!" LOL

I forget they are grown ups.

I guess it's always going to be like that. In the eyes of parents, children will forever be their children.

I remember my late grandfather and grandmother on both sides, they would still prepare the bed, the food for their grown up kids, and even for us, their grown up grandchildren when we go visit them. My parents still worry about me even if I now have my own family, too.

I couldn't understand then. But now, I do.

Day 2 Minimalism challenge, Clean your handbag. Actually, yeah. Funny, because during this pandemic, I don't use wallets anymore. Just a small crossbody bag and I take with me a card holder, tiny tissue holder from Typo, and cellphone. Hanging in the handbag is a small alcohol container.
