Head over to Midlife Mod later for the complete OOTD.
I start the day with meditation which includes praying, reading devotional and the Bible, and listening to worship songs.
Next, I take two glasses of water.
Then I'd shower and dress up, and get down to business.
At 12 noon, I'd take my first meal of the day.
Every morning, we have two choices to make: jump out of bed or roll over.
Several years ago, my mornings saw me jumping out of bed, rushing to the shower, grabbing the clothes I had prepared the night before, and hopping into the car and drove away. I had to beat traffic to get to the office in time.
Then about six years ago, I took the leap of faith to go homebased. That was when my mornings started to become much calmer.
To this day, I no longer jump out of bed but roll over and savor the blessing of a new day.

Prime Your Brain
Today, my team and I began our team activity with priming exercise with Tony Robbins.
It is a wonderful way to start with identifying your deep moments gratefulness by reliving those moments and imagining future moments as if it is already happening.
For me, this priming exercise focuses my mind on appreciating what went and what's to come. As a result, you remember why you need more precious moments in the future.
This corona virus is not yet going away--still infecting, still claiming lives, and still affecting the economy.
It is not getting easier expecially for workers in sectors that are hardly hit by this pandemic. In the image above for example, it is estimated that those sectors on the top six see recovering five years later yet.
These workers have families. These workers have needs.
In the past two years, I discovered a way of life that has become a passion and an advocate for me--that is to become a purposefulpreneur. As such, I have been reaching out and and helping those who have lost their jobs or who are in between jobs to find alternative ways to cope.

And in my devotional today, it reads:
Tough circumstances are no match for inner strength fueled by hope.
What's the single most important thing to do as a leader? The reply was, to make sure to stay encouraged.
Why? Because if we are not encouraged, eventually nothing else matters. If we're not encouraged, we are not the mom/dad, wife/husband, or person that we could be.

I understand this now clearly.
My father had been mentioning this thing, I think back when in my early years of working, but I didn't grasp the full meaning of it then.
Years passed, 29 years to be exact, when I climbed the career ladder. I made it to the top executive level and enjoyed the perks that came along with it. I was earning bigger than most, and I also had big credit limits from six major banks in the country.
I had what you call a big spending capacity.
But did I have a lot of cash stashed somewhere and saved for the rainy days? None.
There it dawned on me, it's not how much you earn but how much you save that really matters.
So, as a new work week comes, this is a good reminder for all us.
Here's how you can start.
Better yet, start thinking of building a passive income, where you earn while you sleep. Ask me how!

I can't recall the image source. This is an old photo (Jun 2016), which I labeled, New Toyota's 5S.
How do Mondays make you feel?
They always make me feel that I can make a fresh start; start anew.
I was sorting out my hard drive this morning and found this old photo in my Six Sigma folder. I am sharing it today, because I feel, I needed to do a 5S---both literally and figuratively. LOL
5S is a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seisō, seiketsu, and shitsuke. These have been translated as "Sort," "Set In order," "Shine," "Standardize," and "Sustain."
I can definitely apply this to my life right now!
Who is up for 5S?
Note: I am bringing back this Monday Work Mood series. You can find my past posts here.

Also, I woke with this song in my head: Love on Top by Queen B! I don't know why. Ha ha!
Then I remember the time that I performed--or tried to outperform Beyoncé--yeah, lip-synced and danced (with costume and all!) to this tune in our company summer outing! Oh my!
I know, start of the week, and already as early as Saturday-Sunday, you already know the tasks that you needed to do. But still, we gotta do what we gotta do and do it wholeheartedly.
You may have noticed that of all my series posts here, it's the Monday Work Mood that I don't often miss. That is because I want to start my week accomplishing something, even if it's as simple and easy as publishing this kind of post. It's the next best wake-up to-do after making your bed every morning.
So, for this week, my thoughts veered toward working alone in a workplace. It gets lonely din pala. He he!
It's different from having a room for yourself but when you go outside, you have people to talk to, share ideas with, banter with, and share breakfast or lunch, or even dinner after work.
Although, I can work in my former office, being a remote worker now, but the thing with being a WAHM, it needs extra convincing to lure me and make me brave the rush-hour traffic. It's not like when you are really obliged to go to the office to work.
My leap of faith to work remotely and remembering the circumstances that surround that decision, still make my heart ache.
I read this on my LinkedIn wall last night, and I think it's a good Monday mood board that will set the week.
My inspiration for this is my husband for I've seen and witnessed how he mentors and develops his staff members to be good at their ball game. Because of this he would find himself working with new people most of the time as his old staff members would go off to head other departments. Some leave the company and find better executive opportunities outside.
I asked him one time, how he does that as I also want to do the same. I also want to have the same influence on my team members. He said that he mentors his staff. He coaches them, telling them what to do at first then leaving them how to do it and improve on it by themselves. He would often tell them, too, to present him with solutions and not problems. Then he finished it off by saying that he was able to do this because he was mentored well by his former bosses as well.
Mentoring. Coaching. These two, for me, should be part of a leader's to-dos.
This is my first attempt at creative photography using iPhone 6s. I also used Snapseed to clean up the image as the monoblock table had black smudges. I didn't clean it up very well because I wanted to maintain the authenticity of the shot.
Another work week, and this describes my week ahead. It will take a lot of creativity on my team's part to deliver the results we wanted.
Marketing, more than getting the numbers, is basically a creative work:
think of effective ways to break in new products
come up with plan B-Z when plan A doesn't work in getting in customers
launch ads to reach out to the right audience
craft effective messaging to engage your market
And the list goes on and on.
We are on our final stretch of our crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, and we can't wait to get our products shipped to our early backers by June.
The following day, I got to face another financial challenge. I had prepared for it but unexpected expenses came up and so now, I need to do some tactical moves again. How do you earn ba limpak limpak?
Now, Monday is a start of another workweek. At work, the challenge of engagement, traffic, conversions, analytics goes on an on...
So, now even at daytime, when the moon is sleeping, I blow my wishes to it. See the impossibility of the moon hearing my wish?
There is however someone who doesn't sleep, who doesn't tire, who doesn't turn his back on us: Lord Jesus, our God!
