What is Success to You?

I ask this question today because I watched two successful vloggers on YouTube. In one of their popular vlogs, they talk about feeling lost, unhappy, and inadequate. 

This got me thinking, what is success, really? 

These two vloggers are already successful--millions of subscribers, million views, several big endorsements. I am sure many are looking up to them, and wishing to be in their place. Yet, they feel that way. 

I even envy these sucessful vloggers. Many times, I planned to go into vlogging, but I am still in the process of completing my content plan, and I've been at it for a year now!    

What is sucess really?

Or perhaps, the definition of sucess is still the same--fullfilling your dreams, achieving your desires. But what muddles it is the high expectation, which overwhelms and can kill it. I know they all started it because they enjoy doing it, they see their purpose in it. 

It's the same with anything we set out to do. We hit the ground running, blaze on excitedly, ready to get our hands dirty. Then the demands of what we need to do start coming in, and if we are not careful, can douse our passion. 

Which brings me to my conclusion about success: to have OPTIONS in life. To have freedom to choose: to travel, to help, to walk away or to stay, to do the things I need or want to do WITHOUT thinking if I have the means to do it, or if I have the time to do it.   

Only then wiill I be able to create irreplaceable moments with the people I love most.

Day 12 Minimalism challenge, Spend time with loved ones. I did that the whole day today. I was on the phone with my mother and brother for a good three hours, and the rest of my Sunday, I spent chatting with my husband, catching up with my kids activities, and our house angels. Quality time with loved ones is life's treasure.
